Yogi Says … For A Workers’ MP On A Workers’ Wage, Vote For Me!
.
“AT THE MOMENT, Members of Parliament earn just over £67,000 a year.  They can also claim various allowances relating to running an office, employing staff, and so on.  Indeed, unlike many people, the salary of an MP looks to be on its way up.  From April 2015, the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority recommends that pay be increased to £74,000 per annum.

I’m not opposed to people earning good money, but I think that earning between £67,000 – £74,000 is more than enough.  Is it any wonder that so many of our MPS appear to be out of touch with ordinary British working families?

Therefore, I promise that if elected, I will only take the average wage of a skilled worker.

The rest of my parliamentary salary will go towards charities and what I would term ‘good causes’.  I would also only claim legitimate expenses, the rest again going to helping others.

I will be a workers’ MP on a workers’ wage!

As a proud Tamil, some of these charities and good causes would naturally include those that seek to help preserve, protect and promote the history, heritage, identity and culture of the British people.  Indeed, as a Self-Determinist, I expect my English, Matebelan and Sikh comrades would do the same for their own folks.

This will be a principled stand for me.  I have no particular wish to enhance my lifestyle on the backs of those who vote for me.

It will be my modest attempt to set an example to others in public life.

Therefore, if you live in the constituency of Ruislip, Northwood & Pinner’d and would like to see a workers’ MP on a workers’ wage, then vote for me!

– Sockalingam ‘Yogi’ Yogalingam,
National Liberal Party prospective parliamentary candidate for Ruislip, Northwood & Pinner.
