Issue 2 of Liberty & Nation Looks At Britain’s Housing Crisis
ISSUE 2 of Liberty & Nation – the Voice of the National Liberal Party – has just been produced.  It looks at the subject of homelessness, which it describes as a ‘National Disgrace!’

L&N believes that Homelessness is a classic case of ‘poverty amongst plenty’.  Here a very small minority of the population is able to ‘lord it up’ over the vast majority.” It also blames Cameron and Clegg’s twisted austerity agenda for the sight of people who – for whatever reason – are sleeping rough every night.

It believes that homelessness is a complex question and that causes (and not just the symptoms) need to be sorted out.  However, in the short-term L&N advocates emergency action:

“Small but effective council teams with wide-ranging powers should be appointed in local authority areas.  Working in conjunction with housing charities, they should open up various empty buildings.  Local tradesmen would then be employed to make them habitable.  To finance this, the banks should issue credit on a debt-free basis.”

A future issue of L&N will take another look at homelessness and Britain’s attendant housing crisis.  In the meantime, it believes that its practical short-term solution is simple and effective and CAN be done!

Respect Existence or Expect Resistance!
THE NATIONAL LIBERAL PARTY is using the forthcoming European Elections as a platform to promote the concept of Self-Determination For All!

As Self-Determination is a universal human right, our eight brave candidates represent different racial, ethnic, national and religious groupings. Indeed, our Euro-campaign represents a practical demonstration of the slogan Unity through Diversity!

In this brief mini-series, we look at our eight London-Region Euro Candidates. We kicked off with Dr Yussef Anwar who is representing the Kurdish community. This time we take a look at Bernard Dube who is representing the Matabelen community. For more information about the suffering of the Matabele, read issue 2 of Freedom. I came to the UK to escape the atrocities committed against my people, the Matabele, by Mugabe in Zimbabwe. Our independence was stolen by Britain in 1893. Unfortunately, they didn’t restore our rights when Zimbabwe was created with British help in 1980.
.
There was a similar story all over Africa where departing Colonial powers simply handed over territory containing different people and nations to the largest. This has led to countless ‘civil wars’, massacres, and discrimination e.g. against Biafra, Ogaden, Azawad or Southern Cameroon.

African borders must be redrawn!

Ten Of The Best!
.
EARLIER this month we noted that the National Liberal Party (NLP) is opposed to ‘gesture politics’ and that we have absolutely no interest in the “futile position adopted by groups on both the ‘left’ and ‘right.’” This consists of “screaming, shouting and macho–posturing. Normally groups who follow this line are more interested in ‘hitting the headlines’ than actually following a strategy of careful thought and action.”

The NLP believes that we can encourage and promote this strategy of careful thought and action by engaging “in rational debate, constructive critiscm and to encourage feedback – good, bad or indifferent.” That’s one of the reasons why we’ve reproduced ‘bite size’ pieces of our Manifesto for the forthcoming European-Elections.

However, we’ve been promoting debates for a long time now. Indeed, in March we completed our tenth debate.

If you want to check out the terms of each debate – and the subject matter itself – simply click on any of the links below. Normally each individual debate is held on the National Liberals Facebook page. However, as some of these debates are over a year old, if you now wish to comment on them, simply go to the National Liberals Facebook page and post them in the comments section under this article. You can find it here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/52739504313/

• Look out for our next debate which’ll pose the question: Outside of London (where the NLP is standing) who should National Liberals vote for in the Euro-Elections? Keep your eyes peeled for this debate as it’ll be coming soon!

Self-Determination – For National Freedom & Social Justice!

We kick off with Dr Yussef Anwar who is representing the Kurdish community.

After WWI, the victorious allies divided the land populated by Kurds – Kurdistan – between new and artificial states such as Iraq and Syria. Kurds continued to be oppressed by the new states as they had been by the departing Ottoman Empire, but the West kept quiet.

Even today when Kurds in war-torn Syria have created a democratic, peaceful, and autonomous area, known as Rojava, the world still ignores them. I am calling upon all Kurdish people in London to vote for this list. Vote for the self-determination of Kurds and all peoples!

Never Mind The Spooks – On 22nd May Vote For Your Freedom!
.

The National Liberal Party is fighting for Self-Determination For All! Our London-Region Euro Candidates are (top) Dr Yussef Anwar, Doris Jones, Bernard Dube, Upkar Singh Rai, (bottom) Jagdeesh Singh, Sockalingam Yogalingam, Araz Yurdseven and Graham Williamson.

.
UNLESS YOU’VE been living underneath a rock for the last month or so, you’ll probably now be aware that the National Liberal Party is fighting the forthcoming European Elections!

Our idea is to use the European Elections – and the attendant heightened awareness of the electorate – as a platform to promote the concept of Self-Determination For All!

We are standing eight brave candidates in the London Region. However, our call for national freedom and social justice has touched a raw nerve as we’ve recently been attacked by a journalist working for Channel 4.

Relying on a tried and tested smear method known as ‘Guilt by Association,’ he critises one of our candidates for his membership of a political party – some 25 years ago. A document that is around five years out of date is also reproduced as ‘evidence’ to back up his claims!

Sadly, this journalist doesn’t appear to have actually read too much of what we have to say for ourselves. Presumably he doesn’t seem to think that the content of our web-site – or our numerous publications – is relevant. If he had to take notice of the printed words themselves, he wouldn’t have a story! It seems that he’s not actually reading what we say – only what our opponents say about us.

We also understand that this journalist was ‘tipped off’ by a so-called ‘anti-Fascist’ publication called Searchlight. Searchlight’s editor is Gerry Gable, who, we understand, is in poor health. Nevertheless, it appears that he’s made a living out of calling anyone and everyone he disagrees with, a ‘fascist.’ This has led to him being dubbed the ‘Witch-Finder General.’

More worryingly, and according to the parapolitical investigative magazine Notes from the Borderland (NFB), Gable has possible links to ‘Spooks’ in the (British State) Secret Intelligence Service – SIS. Click here for details of NFBs allegations regarding Gable: http://www.borderland.co.uk/index.php/sport-mainmenu-28/13-searchlighthopenothate/searchlight-hope-not-hate/47-dummy-article10.html

If this is true (and unlike others we don’t just believe anything we read!), all non-conformists, free thinkers, libertarians and those interested in free speech must pose the question: who is pulling the strings here?

Whilst readers are pondering this question, we’re happy to report that the National Liberal Party’s European Election campaign has gone into overdrive!

As we noted earlier, our eight brave candidates – pictured above – are standing in the London Region. If you support Self-Determination For All! and you live in London, we’d appreciate it if, on 22nd May, you’d vote National Liberal Party!

Another Local NLP Publication out.
.
THE LATEST ISSUE of St. Andrews Voice is out and is being distributed door-to-door throughout Hornchurch (which forms part of Havering) in Essex.

In keeping with the National Liberal Party’s ‘localist’ agenda, the main article opposes the Conservative Council’s decision to merge Havering’s back-office administration with Newham. Local NLP official Graham Littlechild fears Havering will cease to be a totally independent and accountable council with Newham’s housing and other needs coming first.

Other local issues covered in St. Andrews Voice include supporting local shops, Council Tax, mess and graffiti,

St. Andrews Voice is a great example of how we can promote our views and ideas to a local audience. We’d like to encourage as many NLP members and supporters to produce newletters like this as they provide the perfect platform to put forward our view that ‘Small is Beautiful.’

Indeed, the NLP feels that many modern problems stem from the fact that institutions tend to be centralist, bloated bureaucracies. Contrast this with our view that all such institutions should be transformed so that they act on a ‘Human Scale.’

To get hold of the latest issue of St. Andrews Voice, just e-mail natliberal@aol.com and ask for your FREE pdf copy. Also, let us know if you’d be interested in producing a local NLP publication of your own.
