Upkar Says … If You Live In The London Boroughs of Haringey, Harrow, Havering and Hillingdon
.

WE COULD probably spend every hour of every day debating whether Britain is a true democracy. Whilst we acknowledge that we have a system of ‘one man one vote’ we know that there are many factors that decide the outcome of an election.  One of these factors is money.

As many of you will now know, the National Liberal Party hopes to stand Upkar Singh Rai for 2016 London Mayor.  Upkar will be standing on a ‘Quality of Life’ ticket – he believes that London is rapidly becoming un-sustainable in terms of physical size and population growth.  In contrast to the lunacy of unrestricted growth, Upkar believes that ‘Small is Beautiful!’  Central to his campaign is his – and the NLPs – support for local shops, small businesses and the self-employed.

However, democracy doesn’t come cheap in London!

Indeed, it costs £20,000 alone to get your name on the ballot box – and that’s before any leaflets, posters or other promotional material is printed and distributed!  However, getting our name on the ballot box will ensure that our message goes directly to all 3.5 million London households.

You can help us in two easy ways – by sponsoring or donating.

The NLP has set up two funds, a Sponsorship Fund (to pay the £20,000 deposit) and a Fighting Fund (for leaflets, posters and so on).

If you want to pledge (£100 plus) to the Sponsorship Fund please e-mail natliberal@aol.com

If you wish to donate to the Fighting Fund please go to http://nationalliberal.org/the-party-organisation/donate or transfer to the Bank of Scotland, NLP, 12-11-03, 06186181, or Cheques can be mailed to the National Liberal Party, PO Box 4217, Hornchurch, Essex RM12 4PJ.

Will you help Upkar to promote his ‘Quality of Life’ message?  Will you help him promote his sustainability message?  Will you help him promote his support for local shops, small businesses and the self-employed?  If your answer is yes, contact the National Liberal Party today!
