National Liberalism worldwide

.

Whilst the NLP focuses on UK issues we believe the philosophy of National Liberalism to be universal and its tenets to be applicable to any country, whether it be to support Direct Democracy, Self-determination or individual liberties.
.
We have therefore created an Overseas Dept. directly responsible to the party’s ruling National Council and composed of Overseas Representatives throughout the Globe’s Continents reporting to a UK based Overseas Liaison Officer.
.
.
Its first task is to develop a Partnership Agreement recently brokered with the NLP (Lebanon). The latter was originally established by the then President Camille Chamoun in 1958. The say that ‘”The party has adopted a hardline in regard to the preservation of Lebanese independence (national), and to the safeguard of the distinctive liberal practices in Lebanon with respect to freedom of expression, opinion and religious freedoms and Human Rights principles”
.
The purpose of the partnership is political cooperation, an international dialogue between Lebanon and the UK and, ultimately, the creation of a Global National Liberal Council. With the latter in mind we shall also be hosting an international conference for various overseas individual activists looking to develop an NLP and/or Nations without States in their own countries.
.
If you are based outside the UK or a member of a Diaspora and want to get involved please contact us at natliberal@aol.com.
