General Election headlines:
.
The Liberal Democrats are roughly back to their (Liberal party) position in 1970 when they had 7.5% of the votes and 6 seats (Snakes n’ ladders) by winning 8% of the votes and 8 seats (only 1% of the total).
.
The SNP made history by winning 50% of the votes but gained 95% of the (Scottish) seats.

A (Conservative) party with just over a third of the vote gets over half of the seats, a minority party running a majority government.
.
Parties (UKIP/Greens) with just over 16% of the vote get less than 0.5% of the seats.
.
One third of voters (even ignoring the increased number of non-registered citizens) did not cast a vote despite increased media coverage. The system is clearly broken and only PR can fix it………
.
Meanwhile, the NLP doubled it’s (Euro) vote in the two seats: 461 in Ealing Southall and 166 in Ruislip, Northwood & Pinner. We congratulate our two brave and hard working candidates; Jagdeesh Singh & Sockalingam Yogalingam, for all their efforts. Although it is a long and hard road, we have taken our second step (after the European elections) in promoting and ultimately making Self-Determination a political issue within the UK. We look forward to the next step forward and hope you join us…….
