Our resident poet shares with us his take on the forthcoming referendum on Scotland’s constitutional future, including their right to choose Devo-Max (or independence). –

Oh the Lords of the Westminster Mansion
Hear not the plea but the demand for the right
Of Scots on self-determination;
For Alban’s nationhood aspirations rightly built
On its past historical nation hood glories
And justifiable desire to manage its own treasuries.
–
Let the Scottish nation choose
The defines of the state to its content.
Devolve maximum as per Scots choice,
Or they desire yet to be part
Of the Union on defence and diplomacy;
Grant it too, for Scots deserve to live their dreams
Of State hood instead of Westminster meddling to be supreme
